Andy makes it three from three - joins brothers on 150 games.

The club is delighted to announce that yet another Khabbaz, Andrew, will reach the 150 game mark this week; joining his older brothers James and Michael on the Jets 150 game Honour Board when it’s updated as season’s end.

Being a bit younger than his twin brothers, ‘Drew’ commenced playing in the seniors in 2010 coming from the Mercedes College stable after starting junior football at St Joseph’s Primary School and the Jets Juniors from Under 11’s. He ultimately played over 100 games in the Black & Blue.. He played for Mercedes College from Year 5, until Year 12 playing alongside his brothers Michael and James at First 18s level from year 10. He also played in junior development squads at Sturt until under 16s level.

His first senior game was against Pultney Grammar, alongside Troy Hall, who was playing at the time. He played in the 2012 A Grade Premiership and has since been a very consistent A grader. With his pace and a penetrating left foot, he has made the wing position his own. Once again, he performed well last week against SHOC and was among the best, being no stranger to the team honours in the Sunday Mail each week.

The Jets community and the Khabbaz family are extra proud of Andy’s achievements and we congratulate him on becoming the 55th player in Jet history to get to this milestone. In mentioning his family, Les, and Karen & Peter, have been great supporters of the boys and our club throughout their footy career, so in congratulating Drew, we also send our best wishes to his incredible Jets family.

It’s amazing to note that the Khabbaz Family have now played a combined 619 games, if you add up the game tallies of James, Michael, Andrew and the extended family of Matthew and Kyong, and are rapidly closing in on the Rouse/Hamden all time family dynasty record of 782 games.)

Andrew is currently a Junior Primary teacher at Mercedes College, and enjoys cooking, and golf.

Well done mate.. here’s to the next 150.
