In a tight and exciting contest, The Jets Under16.5’s triumphed by 9 points over an equally determined Payneham NU to win the SANFL Juniors Under 16.5 Div 1 Premiership.

It was a fitting reward for a top season under Coach Trent Bromley and his team of coaches, mentors and assistants, where the lads finished with an impressive 14 to 1 win loss ratio and a 70.26 percentage.

For many of the players, this was their last match with the Jets Juniors, many of whom started with The Jets in U8’s or U9’s. This squad had not won a premiership previously so it was a wonderful way to end their junior career in The Black and Blue. Huge congratulations to everyone associated with the Under 16.5’s this year. Celebrate well your hard earned reward!

The club is hopeful most of the lads and their families will see fit to continue with The Jets and maintain their friendships on and off the field into the senior grades. With a strong youth development focus, the valuable input of ex-crow Michael Doherty and a team of dedicated coaching staff led by Kane Stewart, our young Jets “gradates” could find no better place to continue their footy into adult competition than right here.
