What a fabulous day at Jet Park yesterday. Not only did all three grades get the points, an amazing crowd of our female friends and supporters packed into The Hangar for an afternoon and evening of great fun and celebration.

As reported in an earlier post, one of our favourite sons, Jim Khabbaz, took the field for his 200th senior game – great work Jimmy!

A solemn moment prior to the A Grade as we recognised the ANZACs, with club legend and Vietnam Veteran Don Hawking reading The Ode and reminding us of the sacrifice made by so many young men and women.

Nicole Flint (sitting Federal Member for Boothby) tossed the coin and made a surprise announcement of $500k for the redevelopment fund if the LNP win the election.

In addition to Nicole, we were pleased to host our Patron and Mayor of Mitcham, Heather Holmes-Ross, and Nadia Clancy, ALP candidate for Boothby, along with many of our sponsors and their partners.

Our Wing Women proved once again what an incredible asset they are to our club community by pulling off another amazing event; many thanks to Julianne Batty, Torie Munn, Tracey Spear, Anne Paschke, Sue Guerin, Deb McConnell, Trish Gibbs (the raffle wiz), Peta Rayson, and of course Chris McMahon and David Petch for the organising and leg work.

Special thanks also to Deb McEntee, Angela Venn, Liz Lewis, Christine Millar, Therese DeGennaro and Angela Keam for preparing the fabulous spread. Thanks also to Tania Pradun (Amazing Graziers) for donating two gourmet platers and Lucy Canale for the flowers and centre pieces.

Big thanks to Andrew Schulz for the great pics.

Much appreciation to all who attended and supported the club. More pics in the Facebook post here: (Feel free to tag.)
